Another Sync Query (VCV's CV-to MIDI IAC BUS, Ableton)

Hi- Apologies in advance, I know there are many threads about this but I can’t quite find the info I am hoping for, having looked through a fair few (please point me towards something if relevant!)

I am trying to send Gate + V/OCT via VCV’s CV to Midi Module to varied channels on the IAC bus to drive plugins outside of the VCV. The thought is to use VCV as my Ableton’ projects master sequencer. Could do so in a limited fashion with VCV host, but as the project grows I’d like to variously assign.

Problem- latency/midi delay to the point that this appoach will not work, despite limiting the block size t0 256 and not having anything at all really in Ableton or VCV. Is there a workable fix for this? It feels to me like a workflow that just will not work which is a shame, given the creative sequencing tools inside of VCV. Thanks,

what is so frustrating is that there is no latency when using CV to MIDI Daw Channel 1, but you cannot get independent midi channels out to other tracks in live as per Ableton’s documentation ‘Note: Live merges all MIDI channels to one channel when being routed internally from track to track. It is therefore not possible to send MIDI to separate tracks via separate MIDI channels.’ Would be very helpful to be able to do so, especially if you are working with logic, context dependent sequencing ideas.
