I just bought both bundles and was disappointed to see this being the case. ALM seem to still be updating the modules fairly regularly, so an email to them might help hurry things along.
The guy behind ALM Busy Circuits is here just to make £, nothing else! For my future hardware Eurorack, I’ve considered Pamela’s PRO Workout, but I’ll go to another brand, perhaps the Shakmat Modular (largely cheaper than Pam PRO), or… I’ll build mine!
About VCV Rack modules conversions, ALM are too expensive, IMHO, $20 per module, $50 for a very tiny bundle, it’s abusive! The worst are many complaints about VCV Rack conversion.
At the opposite side of The Force, 4ms Company is sharing - for free - all of their (converted) hardware modules!
I applaud with both hands. ![]()
You aren’t forced to use their modules, so there is no abuse. There’s probably a better word to describe their pricing choice.
Of course, it’s the reason why I refuse to buy them, despite Pam PRO looks interesting (hardware version is fantastic, despite the high price - but having ton of cool features, however the software… many complaints about unsolved bugs or bad/unexpected behaviors). Dear Paul, please consider I give my opinion, that’s all. ![]()
Kind regards.
Sorry just for clarify - Axon this is expander you mean ?
Upd: Grabbed FMco (ALM045) today, very liked btw ![]()
Any more current word on the state of this plugin? Im still on the fence.
My 2nd regret in VCV-land was purchasing Pam’s… buggy, random crashes, encoders in VCV are NOT your friend, etc. I’ve removed it from my library.
RIP. ![]()
Yeah Pam’s no bueno in da rack.
What was your first regret, just out of interest?
Mine was probably getting into this in the first place ![]()
A donation to a dev who, without so much as a thank you (note to ALL devs… ‘thank you for the donation’ goes a looooooooong way), fell off the face of the earth and left some fantastic (IMHO) modules twisting in the wind. Despite some bugs here and there, most modules still work. But without updates, and with successive VCV versions, I suspect they’ll eventually become unusable.
I guess i’ll repeat again how i use pam’s often without much issues. I keep seeing opinions repeated, it’s fine, i stopped reacting and this is probably going to be my 1 post for this year again. Right now i only liked to point out that I, in my weird alternate universe of not knowing anything, seeing alm busy circuits update their sets quite regularly, i mean i imagine (oct 2026) pip lfo out of my own imagination. All sillyness aside, i know (instead of repeating others) because i actually got and use them insted of making or repeating noise on this forum. but hey.. you can always try Ohmer’s modules since they do exactly the same, right?
Guys, would be useful if with finding any probs\bugs you’ll more specify with explain some steps for repro. (except random crash resp) In my expireance ALM was pretty responsible tru email.
